Your Privacy Matters
Burger League is built around community-shared burger reviews. Here is exactly what we collect, why we collect it, and how it is handled. No tricks. No fine print games.

Information We Collect
When you create an account and use Burger League, we collect the following information:
Email Address
Your email address is stored in both Supabase Auth and on your profile row. It is used to sign you in, recover your account, send essential service emails such as password resets and email confirmations, and contact you about moderation or business-claim decisions.
Username
Your username is your public identity in the app. It is shown on reviews and rankings. Usernames are unique across Burger League and are checked case-insensitively. If a username is already taken, you will be asked to choose another one.
Profile Picture
You may choose to upload an optional profile picture as your avatar.
Burger Reviews
We collect the burger scores, notes, burger names, restaurant details, and review dates that you submit. Reviews are linked to your user ID so we can display your username on them and allow you to edit your own reviews.
Burger Photos
We collect the burger photos you choose to upload with your reviews.
Location of Reviews
We collect the city, country, and, when you allow it, GPS coordinates from photo metadata. This is used to place burgers on the world ranking.
Account Type
We collect whether you signed up as a personal user or a business owner.
Business Claim Records
If you claim a restaurant as a business, we keep the claim request, your business name, contact email, and your acceptance of the rating-integrity agreement so we can verify ownership.
How We Use Your Data
We use your data to:
Create and secure your account.
Display your username, reviews, score, and achievements in the app.
Compute global, country, city, restaurant, and burger rankings.
Let other users see public reviews and burger photos you have submitted, attributed to your username.
Send transactional emails such as sign-up confirmation and password reset emails.
Respond to support, moderation, or business-claim questions you send us.
Verify business ownership of a restaurant when you submit a claim.
Enforce the rating-integrity rules accepted by business owners.
Improve app performance, fix bugs, and prevent abuse.
Where Your Data Is Stored
All account data, reviews, and uploaded photos are stored on Supabase, a secure managed Postgres and storage platform.
Authentication is handled by Supabase Auth.
Data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS and at rest by the underlying infrastructure provider.
Avatar images and burger images are stored in Supabase Storage and served through public URLs so the app can display them on rankings.
Data Sharing
We never sell your data. Period.
We do not share your email or password with third parties.
Your username, reviews, scores, photos, and review locations are publicly visible inside the app. This is the core feature of a community ranking platform.
We use Supabase as a data processor strictly to operate the app.
Rankings & Top 10 System
Rankings, scores, and Top 10 lists shown across Burger League, including global, country, city, and restaurant rankings, are calculated automatically by our platform.
We do not hand-pick winners.
Rankings are computed from review averages, number of reviews, recency, integrity signals, and other platform signals used to keep the leaderboard fair.
The exact weighting of these signals may evolve over time as we improve the ranking system.
A burger’s or restaurant’s position can change at any time as new reviews are added or as our integrity checks update.
No user, business owner, or third party can pay to be ranked higher, featured, or protected from ranking changes.
Anti-Fraud & Review Integrity
To keep Burger League fair, we operate automated and manual anti-fraud and integrity systems that analyse activity on the platform.
We may detect and act on suspected fake reviews, spam, bot activity, coordinated rating manipulation, self-reviews by business owners, or attempts to abuse the ranking system.
Signals we may look at include account behaviour, review patterns, device and network signals, photo metadata, timing of submissions, and relationships between accounts and restaurants.
If abuse is detected, we may remove reviews, exclude them from rankings, revoke business claims, suspend accounts, or take other proportionate action.
These systems exist to protect the trustworthiness of Burger League rankings for everyone, including both eaters and honest restaurants.
Your Rights & Content Ownership
You can edit your own reviews from the burger detail screen. This includes the rating, written notes, and burger photo.
You can only edit reviews that you submitted yourself.
You can change your profile picture at any time from the Profile tab.
You can request review or account deletion by emailing us. This removes your account, reviews, and uploaded images.
Business users may claim a restaurant they own and manage business-only fields such as logo, cover image, description, prices, weekly burger, and special offers.
Business accounts cannot create, edit, or delete reviews or scores submitted by personal users.
You can withdraw consent to this Privacy Policy at any time by deleting your account.
Terms of Use
You must be old enough in your country to consent to the processing of your own data and to use a community review platform.
You must submit honest, first-hand reviews.
You must not impersonate other users or businesses.
You must not upload content that you do not have the rights to use.
Business owners who claim a restaurant agree that they will not manipulate ratings, post fake reviews, or pressure reviewers.
Violations may result in claim removal or account suspension.
We may remove reviews, photos, claims, or accounts that break these rules or applicable law.
Burger League is provided “as is”. We work hard to keep the service running, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability.
Algorithmic Rankings
All rankings, Top 10 lists, scores, and any featured placements inside Burger League are determined algorithmically from community reviews and platform signals.
Positions are not guaranteed and may change at any time as new data arrives or as the ranking system is updated.
Business Ownership Does Not Include Ranking Control
Claiming or owning a verified business on Burger League gives you the right to manage your restaurant’s presentation, including logo, cover image, description, prices, weekly burger, and special offers.
It does not give you the right to edit, remove, hide, downrank, reorder, influence, or otherwise manipulate customer reviews, scores, or rankings, whether your own or those of competitors.
Attempting to manipulate rankings, including paid reviews, fake accounts, coordinated voting, pressuring reviewers, or removing critical feedback, is a violation of these Terms.
Violations may result in immediate loss of business claim, account suspension, and removal from rankings.
Fair Review System
Fair Review System
Burger League exists to build authentic, fair, and trustworthy burger rankings worldwide.
Every burger is judged on the same scale, by real people, using the same rating system, from a street stand to a flagship restaurant.
Rankings are powered by community reviews and our integrity systems, not by advertising, sponsorships, or business relationships.
Business owners are partners in presenting their restaurant, but reviewers remain in control of scores and opinions.
We will keep evolving our ranking and anti-fraud systems to protect the integrity of the league for everyone who loves a great burger.
